We've been holding on to some good news for about a week now. Effective immediately, the price for Fling has been reduced to $19.95, and a 2-pack will go for just $29.95.
The strong demand for Fling has allowed us to lower our production costs, and we're passing that savings on to you. All preorders have already been refunded the difference, and we hope the new price will make Fling more accessible to everyone.
Thanks to our customers and media friends for the very strong support and excitement about Fling. We're just shipping the first orders today, and we absolutely can't wait to get them into your hands. They really should give Game Center a separate leaderboard for Fling users.
TweetFirst of all, if you haven't seen the Fling iPad joystick yet, check it out here. It debuted at CES 2011, and we'll be showing it again in more depth at Macworld (if you'll be there, come over and try it out!).
The response so far has been amazing. It's a pleasure to demonstrate a product that usually results in outbursts of "wow," or "that feels really great!" Of course, it doesn't hurt that everyone gets to play games at the same time.
There are so many incredible Fling-ready games in the App Store. We've been using Meteor Blitz, Super Mega Worm, and Across Age HD to demo Fling. Meteor Blitz in particular does a wonderful job of utilizing the extra precision.
If your game is compatible with Fling, let us know! We've posted developer guidelines for Fling compatibility over on the BizDev page.

TweetTo say we were impressed with the 2009 Art Contest is a severe understatement. The quality of the work left us awestruck and agog. We simply had to do it again.

The major change this year is in how the scoring and prizes work. In addition to an even larger grand prize, we've added prizes for category winners. We've also updated the back-end code to handle incoming submissions. This will mean faster turnaround times for approving and listing your entry. Our panel of judges this year include an award-winning set designer and a graphic design/advertising veteran. We're all looking forward to seeing what you come up with. Enter here, enter often.
