January 22nd, 2013

Early January is a fitting time for CES. It's only just 2013, and those numbers feel strange, like you are still trying them on. It feels a little bit like the future, and it's a great time to explore the latest gear at CES. This year we opted for a larger booth space. This gave us more room to interact and demo Pogo Connect. We we also had room to display app icons from the wonderful apps that support Pogo Connect. There were many other Bluetooth 4.0 products at the show. The cookoo watch was fun to see in person. Casio's G-Shock joined with other kickstarter-y types to round out the watch selection. There was a variety of 'track your stuff'-type tags. We also heard about the next-generation Bluetooth chips directly from the manufacturers. It's more of a 2014 thing, but some nice enhancements are coming down the road. Big TVs. Everywhere. It's always fun to see the Samsung and LG booths. They probably outspend us by 1000-1, but it's easy to forget your budget-envy when confronted with a 200 foot tv. There were parties and excessive consumption, and taxis drivers whose shifts start at 3AM to compensate. We were absolutely not part of a $65,000 liquor bill, but we know someone who was. We had a fun time this year, and although it'll be a while before we're ready for another show, this was a good time to see old friends, enjoy good food, and show off the latest features of Pogo Connect. Yours, T1 Team
